Assalamualaikum,
Howdieeeeeeeeee peopleeeeeeeeeeee?
Okay I just finished taking ALS440 test today and my screw went loose and yes I think I screwed up.
TOOOOTAAALLYYYYY SCREWED

My fingers are itching. I wanted to update this blog so bad yet it was so hectic within these past few days, no-- weeks.

So, with all the loss of sleep I experienced, I have now officially earned myself a pair of panda eyes. Yay.

Oh!
Have you guys ever heard about Fave? It's an app. A kewl app.
Or ever heard of Groupon?
They're actually related whereby Fave by Groupon is used in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Here's a bit scoop about the app :
Fave is a free app that brings you the best deals and discounts at top restaurants, spas, and fitness studios in your city. Available in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Singapore, Fave is like that cool friend who knows exactly where the top deals and special discounts are at.

You can find more about it in your PlayStore. It's easy to use though!
Just download Fave and sign up using your real name of course. And there you go~

With just the tip of your finger, go and browse the latest deal they offer within the range of where you are currently staying.

It's not just food tau! There's a lot more than just the food. Go and try them out!

Kita kan suka benda benda yang ada discount ni. Lol

A friendly reminder that you should have online internet banking so that it'll be easier to purchase the vouchers in the future.

Here's what I bought as my first time trying out the app!

Click BUY NOW if you want to purchase the voucher and then it'll redirect you to your online banking account. Successful transaction will be notified through SMS and Email.

And now, here's the journey of two hungry lasses hunting for food for our iftar that day
Mi partner in crime for the day, Bella~
As usual, a glimpse of the menu. As a seafood maniac-- all the pictures are tempting and yes I am hella tempted.

Too bad fruit juices were unavailable at the moment so we ordered Teh Ais and Milo Ais instead.

The restaurant is indeed small in size but waaaaaaauu look at those framed articles of their restaurant. Shows that a lot of review must have been made back then.

Oh oh oh look, they got the Fave ad (the pink thingy behind Bella)

Close your mouth fellas, don't let your saliva drop dop dop dopzz

Following the owner's recommendation, we chose Nasi Putih Set where Bella ordered Ketam Kari and Ketam Cili for me~ The meal comes in set. You get plain white rice, fried omelette and your chosen crab dish. They cost only RM10.50/meal set.

 Kari Ketam
I don't really fancy any curry dish so I can't evaluate something that I'm not fond of but for Bella, it doesn't suits her palate. It's actually one of the most chosen dish by the customers.

 Ketam Cili
Gais. Recommended. Like seriously. THIS ONE IS NICE. Spicy, a bit. But since I like spicy things, this one is a yay from me.

If I'm not mistaken, it cost RM6.00++ something if you just order this in a la carte. Nonetheless, they're still affordable and they'll satisfy your tummy.

Hey, how to redeem the voucher that was bought earlier?
Fret not people.
Here lemme show you how.
After you have succeed in buying the voucher, it'll show something like this

Do not swipe on your own. I repeat. DO NOT SWIPE IT if you're not going to be INSIDE the place you're going to use the voucher. Show them your mobile phone and let them do their job. Okay?

Clap your hand. You have succeed in redeeming your voucher. Am so proud of you (wipe my imaginary tears)

What else is interesting?
You can get Fave credit everytime you redeem a voucher. See the three picture above? Pick one, a mystery amount of money awaits you.

We paid RM13 for a voucher that worth RM20. Redeemed the voucher, we only paid RM3/person as the balance. Overall, it cost us only RM9 for the food and the drink per person. Will I come again? Yes!

In addition, they even have special discount if you pay your bills using Fave. How keeewwwwwl is dat?!

Till then, happy iftar! And happy Fave-ing!

The Hippos Kabin @ Shah Alam

Saturday, June 10, 2017 Nas 0 Comments

It took me a week to post this entry lmao I deeply apologize as for my negligence towards this blog (bow)

It's fasting season and I have yet to wish all of you Selamat Menyambut Ramadan!
Noob Nas, noob. You're way too late but oh well, I did my part ehe.

Anyway! A week ago, it was Fauzie's birthdaaaaaaay.
Guess who turns twenty-two this year?
This lil brat.

Hence, we went to get Iftar together as well as spending some time for his birthday yay!!
Tbh, he doesn't really fancy eating outside food. But I do. Nak buat macam mana? Hahaha. Ada orang tu cakap dia makan semua but honestly; bro, he's picky af -.-

Back then, when I wanted to have steamboat for lunch/dinner, my fam would bring us to Johnny's Restaurant or Flaming Steamboat. But again, both places only have steamboat buffet/pax. So I never had the chance to eat in where they serve steamboat & grill at the same time.

I texted like-- 4 restaurants to make reservation on weekend. They texted me the same answer afterwards. Full house uwaaaaaaaaa.

Cari punya cari, I stumbled upon this one logo; a cute one actually. Turns out it's a steamboat & grill restaurant and when I texted them, they still got few spots left. Can you imaaaagineeeee how happy I am to finally be able to make reservation on weekend?!

So here goes my first experience. Cliche. Kah kah.

Bawak birthday boy makan :p

The concept is quite fierce though. Placed outdoor, everything is in red. Even the sun showed no mercy when we arrived there. Hence, I apologized for the various lighting in the pictures. As you can see, they only have one long table at the center of the restaurant. Not much of choices though.

Almost got blinded by the sunlight. You so bright ah sun.

Grilling pan(?)/stove(?)/grill-plate(?) what is this thing called hahahahahahaha #siscuba. At any rate, they are placed on each table, covered with aluminium foil for grilling purpose. The bowl for steamboat purpose as well as a plastic pitcher with plastic glasses were given when you're settled with your seating.

First round here we goooooo.

Sadly these (pictures up & below of raw stuff) were the only shots I managed to capture because I was scolded afterwards. Hahahahahaha k T_T
"Nak makan ke nak pegang phone?"
How cruel.

Pour everrryyythinggggg. Sizzle sizzle and grill yaaaaay.

Okay here comes the drawback, at first we managed to be seated at a table that can fit to four person. But then suddenly, the waiter asked us to move to a table that consists with only two chairs which sucks because it wasn't even full house until night came. The couple seat/table was a major no-no for us. We couldn't eat in a comfortable position since we had to put our food plates, ladles, dipping sauce plates, bowls, utensils on the small-sized table. It was suffocating to not be able to have space when you're near to the fire. It was freaking hot though. Furthermore, I can't sit down while trying to flip the items on the grill thingy, the oil and seasoning splattered around, jumping and attacking my skin. Blergh.

Maybe if we were to sit at the four pax per table, we won't feel the difficulty to breathe at ease. Or at least, a bigger table to begin with.

Mushroom Soup & White Bread

Oh, don't mind the color of my bread. I grilled them & the residue of the burnt due to grilling the prawns, beefs & chickens got stuck to the bread bahahaha

Aside from steamboat, they served Laksa as well. If I'm not mistaken, they got Nasi Goreng, Mee/Bihun, Fruits, etc. Too bad it tasted bland that day. I heard people were saying it was good though. Perhaps it's because of the fasting month so yeah, I guess it differs.

Major turn off for the dessert. It does not even taste close to Walls or Nestle or Yogi Yogi or anything that tasted like legit ice cream. There's a tangy flavour lingered in my mouth thereafter eating this. Not sure if it's a homemade ice cream or anything. How about trying some and let me know afterwards?

Told you he's picky. Although I'm not that fastidious, but since I enjoy eating so-- it was quite okay to me.

However, the waiters are quite friendly. They would regularly check on their customer's table, assuring that the soup is enough for the whole table.

A friendly reminder when you want to pick the dipping sauce.
Get the smallest plate nearby, smaller than your palm and take small portion on each sauces. Just to identify which one suits your taste bud and then go back to the buffet table and get more of the chosen sauce!

You will be asked whether you want Chicken Soup or Tom Yam Soup. Since he can't stand spicy stuff, we chose Chicken Soup & it wasn't that bad.

Ah! Another pleasant thing about this place, they prepared a small cabin for customers to perform their prayers & separate them into 2 parts for men & women. (clap hands)

Unlike this one particular restaurant where the prayer room has to be shared with both genders. Seriously?

As for the food, the choices aren't that much compared to other places I have been but oh hey their beef tasted so good! We both agreed on that one. The seasoning matched perfectly. I've never ate that much of beef at one time. Another clap please.

Told you the logo is cute

Here's the price per head during Ramadan. I'm not sure if the price remain the same after fasting month. You can text/call them for more queries.

That's the end of the post! And yes, there's no picture of neither me alone or us together. He hates to be photographed with me (also alone zzz) . Thus, I had to sneak a shot of him. Everytime. Lol.
